Ocimum sanctum commonly known as tulsi is the most auspicious plant in Hindu religion.

It is native to India and thrives in sun and semi shade environment.

The height of the tulsi plant is anywhere between one to two meters.

Apart from being a religious sacred plant it is also a mosquito repellant and an excellent plant for avenue planting.

Every Hindu family should have one tulsi plant in ther courtyard.
