Growing Tips

  • 🌱 Sowing: Sow the seeds on the surface of a well-draining, gritty cactus mix and press them gently into the medium. Cover only very lightly.

  • 💧 Watering: Keep the medium slightly moist during germination, allowing the surface to dry somewhat between waterings.

  • ☀️ Light: Provide bright light or gentle sunlight; increase direct sun gradually after seedlings establish.

  • 🌡️ Temperature: 20–30°C is suitable for germination.

  • 🌵 Transplanting: Handle seedlings carefully and transplant once they are well established.

Germination: Usually 2–8 weeks, although some seeds may take considerably longer. Scarification or soaking the seeds before sowing can help improve and speed up germination.
